Army jawan shoots self in Jammu

An Army jawan allegedly tried committed suicide by shooting himself with his service rifle in Rajouri district of Jammu and Kashmir.

'Sepoy Dharmveer from Bharatpur in Rajasthan deployed in Krishna Ghati sector shot himself with his service weapon at around 9:30pm on Wednesday," an army officer said here on Thursday.

He said that critically injured jawan has been hospitalized and an investigation has been initiated.
